Regional Learning Impact Finalist Competition
The Learning Impact Awards and Recognition Program highlighted 24 finalist and 12 Learning Impact Award winners at our Learning Impact 2008 & The Summit on Global Learning Industry Challenges Conference in Austin, Texas
In order to provide an opportunity for more organizations to participate in the IMS GLC Learning Impact Awards 2009, we are conducting a regional finalists competition in the United Kingdom and one in Australia.
Australian Competition:
The Australian competition will culminate at IDEA 2008 in Melbourne on 12 -13 of November 2008.
The judges for the Australian event are:
- Dr. Kathryn Moyle (head judge): Associate Professor - University of Canberra and Director, Secretariat for the Australian ICT in Education Committee (AICTEC)
- Prof. Alan Smith: Executive Director of Division of Academic Information Services (DAIS), University of Southern Queensland
- Ross Treadwell: Assistant Director, Learning Technologies Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS), South Australia
- Rhyan Bloor: Branch Manager, Broadband Infrastructure Taskforce, Digital Education Group, Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)
Process for Competing in the Reginal Learning Impact Competition:
1 ) The Submission period for the Regional Competition is over. You can still enter the global competition. Submit your entries by 31 December 2008 here.
2)
Finalists will be notified and invited to present their product/service at the during the IMS GLC Quarterly Meetings.
3) Winners of Regional Finalist Competition to the IMS GLC Learning Impact Awards will automatically
be a finalist in the IMS GLC Learning Impact 2009 Awards and Recogition Program and will be invited to participate in the LIA Showcase at Learning Impact 2009 in Barcelona, Spain Find out more about the Learning Impact Awards and Recognition Program
